MAFS’ most controversial groom Tyson Gordon is selling his Gold Coast dream home after walking out on his TV bride Stephanie Marshall

He was Married at First Sight’s most controversial groom, and now former soldier Tyson Gordon is breaking up with his ultimate ‘trad wife’ palace.

While his search for a “traditional, submissive” bride ended in a spectacular walkout from Nine’s 2026 season, the 31-year-old property investor poured hundreds of thousands of dollars into turning an abandoned mansion into his happily-ever-after dream home.

Records show Gordon snapped up the double-storey estate at 56 Bollard Cct, Clear Island Waters for $2.5m in December 2025.

Gordon loved the home’s traditional American character

“It’s a beautiful home… it ticked a lot of my boxes as a forever home,” Gordon said.

“I loved the character it had, that hybrid between a Federation and Hamptons style.

“It would have been great to raise a family here, but I think a house of this calibre is too much to take on while I’m still single.”

Gordon’s TV match with Brisbane real estate agent Stephanie Marshall, 32, was rocky from the start as he baulked at her “body count”, despite admitting to having had more partners himself.

The outspoken Gold Coaster clashed with viewers, stating he wanted a partner who brings “feminine energy”, isn’t “woke”, cooks for him, and would ideally put her career on hold to raise their kids.

The groom even stated he wanted five children — a brood that would easily fit into this grand 635sqm, six-bedroom floorplan.

While his TV marriage went up in flames, Gordon’s property portfolio is thriving.

Marketed via a best offers campaign with Christine Demchenko and Oresti Astras of Astras Prestige Property, the 2000s-built mansion is perfectly equipped for his ideal housewife, with a breakfast bar in the ktichen and a spacious dining area to enjoy those home-cooked meals, high ceilings, and an upstairs master bedroom with a private balcony.

“Occupying a prime waterfront position in prestigious Clear Island Waters, this beautifully updated, six-bedroom residence delivers an exceptional lifestyle opportunity,” Ms Demchenko noted in the listing.

Gordon’s six-month renovation included newly installed ducted air-conditioning, a full insulation upgrade, fresh interior and exterior paint, new carpets, lighting, and an upgraded alarm system.

The 898sqm property also hides an intriguing history.

Historic Gold Coast hinterland estate has tourism upside

“It had actually been vacant for 25 years – the original owner had won it for five bucks, it was an RSL prize home,” Gordon said.

The project carried a heartbreaking personal meaning, with Gordon renaming the property “Montana” to honour his late niece, who passed away from brain cancer at just three months old. “I just wanted her name to live on and thought the home would be the perfect way to do that,” he said.

As for his next move, the reality star is already eyeing another project, noting his main focus was now on “bettering myself as a human being”.
