54 Vaughan Dr, Ormeau is for sale
A resort-style family compound complete with Australian Open-inspired tennis court has hit the market on the Gold Coast.
The six-bedroom, three-bathroom property at Ormeau was a renovator’s delight when it was purchased 18 months ago before being transformed into an entertainer’s dream.
Set over a sprawling single-level on a 5,111 sqm parcel at 54 Vaughan Dr, it’s the latest project completed by Paul and Kirsten Giddings.
The blue court inspired by the Australian Open
While the couple are renovation veterans, achieving a suburb record price for their previous build at Belivah, this was the first time their three teenaged sons helped out.
“Paul does commercial landscaping, so he does the outside and I do the inside,” Ms Giddings said.
“Our oldest son is doing a school-based carpentry apprenticeship, so he got to help the builder with some things.
“We all got to contribute part of it. It was a family project.”
The home is marketed via an expressions of interest campaign with Ray White Alliance agents James Devlin and Jason Atkinson.
It’s been transformed inside and out
Standout features include a spectacular outdoor setup with a newly surfaced tennis court and viewing gazebo, pool with spa and stone feature edge, and expansive entertaining deck with a barbecue area.
“The Australian Open really inspired the blue court as a lot of courts seem to be that colour now. It has floodlights so you can play at night,” Ms Giddings said.
The family renovated and extended the bedrooms, redid the bathrooms, as well as the kitchen and laundry.

“It had been left in its glory days with the same salmon carpet and mint green walls as when it was built.
“It had a lot of terracotta, yellow, and heritage green both inside and outside.”
She said the renovation was quite high-end as they had intended on moving into the property themselves, with stone tiles and travertine pavers outside.
There’s also a big shed out the back which could be used as an office space or a teenagers’ retreat, while the property also has a five-car garage as well as shaded parking for a caravan or boat.

Mr Devlin said the home was designed for both lifestyle and practicality.
“Meticulously updated throughout, the home features stone flooring, premium new carpet, and carefully considered finishes that combine comfort, quality, and refined living at every turn,” he said.
“This is the ultimate property for large or extended families, entertainers, and anyone looking to embrace a resort-inspired lifestyle just moments from local amenities, schools, and major transport links.”
PropTrack data shows house prices in Ormeau were up 10.7 per cent since last year, to a median of $974,500.
