108 Crescent Ave, Hope Island is back on the market

A Gold Coast dream home crowned the city’s most-viewed residential listing is back on the market with a massive price cut following the shock collapse of a $10 million sale.

The designer property, named SALT, has been re-listed at $8.95m months after contracts were exchanged with an eager interstate buyer who ultimately couldn’t stump up the cash.

The palatial Hope Island estate racking up more than 45,000 clicks on realestate.com.au in 2025 as house hunters flocked to its Beverly Hills-style glamour.

The asking price had been reduced by more than $1m

Kollosche marketing agent Paul Harrison said the new price was a strategic move to find a serious starter after being “pushed back” by the previous buyer.

“The bottom line is, we had an offer of $10m, but the buyer kept pushing us back and the original deal didn’t go through, so the owner is now back on the market at a very competitive price,” Mr Harrison said.

“I said, ‘Right, you need to get aggressive, you need an asking price with an 8 in front of it’, because that is the price that is going to give him the best chance of selling in a better turnaround time.”

Mr Harrison said the revised price tag represented excellent value, sitting “under replacement cost” for the near-new waterfront mansion at 108 Crescent Ave.

Concreter Brenton Fisher is behind the waterfront build

The eight-bedroom masterpiece is the work of well-connected local concreter Brenton Fisher, whose previous projects have hosted high-profile parties with celebrity mates including Portelli, who shot to fame bidding for houses on The Block, and his locally based business partner, Troy ‘Candy’ Williams.

Despite its A-list associations and standout entertaining zones, including a heated pool and spa with sunken firepit, home cinema, and sports bar, Mr Fisher said the showstopper was not conceived as a party house.

He designed the home with the scale and separation for a large family to hold for generations, ensuring every square metre featured unique detailing.

Built over a 3,163 sqm allotment with 22m of waterfrontage, the palatial estate unfolds behind a porte-cochere, with an oversized pivot door leading to a grand foyer complete with a marble quartz feature wall and circular staircase.

Premium finishes throughout the home include multi-level skylights, polished concrete floors, imported marble, and sky white dolomite.

Six of the property’s ensuited bedrooms are located upstairs, and there’s also a separate guest house, while downstairs features a 12-seat theatre and bar along with an open-plan kitchen and teppanyaki bar.

Mr Harrison described the home’s construction as “flawless,” noting that a building and pest inspector was unable to fault the solid concrete build.
