Prolific Gold Coast developer Jim Raptis has offloaded his Surfers Paradise mansion for around $18m, in one of Queensland’s biggest house sales this year.
The luxury Paradise Waters home at 141-143 Commodore Drive is understood to have settled this week.
Property records reveal Northernson Pty Ltd purchased the block in 2002 for $3.175m from well known developer Soheil Abedian.
Records show Jim Raptis is the sole director of Northernson Pty Ltd.

Mr Raptis and his wife Helen then built and completed their family home in 2006.

The Raptis’ are long term Paradise Waters residents and have owned multiple homes in Paradise Waters over the past 40 years.
The property was sold by Russell Rollington and Bob Rollington from Surfers Paradise First National who declined to comment on the sale.
They confirmed the property had settled and that both the buyer and seller were long term clients of their office with “all parties pleased with the result”.

The exclusive waterfront enclave of Paradise Waters is home to many high profile Gold Coast residents including Mayor Tom Tate, developer Danny Andrews and the billionaire Puljich family.

Mr Raptis has been behind a string of high-rises on the Gold Coast since the 1970s, creating popular landmarks within the city.
He successfully revived his business out of administration multiple times.
Last year Mr Raptis stepped down as chairman of his ASX-listed Raptis Group after almost 40 years, while the chequered company changed its name to Group One Capital.
