The owners of a popular gelato bar are shooting for the street record for a semi with the listing of their North Bondi home.

Lawyer Christelle Santelli and engineer Federico Betini own Elisa Gelato at 32-34 Perouse Road in Randwick, which promises “the true taste of Bologna without leaving Sydney”.

They have their five-bedroom, four-bathroom home with double garage at 64 Murriverie Rd listed with Ray White Double Bay’s Dion Markovics with a $10m guide.

“It’s an amazing house, it’s going for the street record for a semi,” Markovics said.

“Villa Mare”, on a 373sqm block, features open-plan living and dining areas flowing to a north-facing yard with a glass-fronted swimming pool and spa, with a poolside cabana offering a full kitchen, bathroom and barbecue.

The couple did a major reno after buying the property in 2016.

Records show the couple bought the property for $2.6m in April 2016 and promptly did a major reno.

The listing follows the whopping $13.3m sale of another home in Murriverie Rd, No..99 — owned by recruitment boss Jason Johnson and his psychotherapist wife, Portia — which occurred in May.

But that was a double-fronted freestanding home on a 443sqm block.

Alexander Phillips and Vince Licata of PPD had initially been guiding $12m, but it was later upped to $12.8m due to high interest and it sold prior to its scheduled auction.

Settlement records confirmed the price and the buyer as banker Tamara Fisher, understood to be a local.

Johnson, who created executive search firm Johnson Partners at the age of 28, bought the property in 2021 for $11.24m from Annabelle Shamir and EverBlu Capital founder Adam Blumenthal.

The couple had called on YSG Studio interior designer Yasmine Ghoniem, who had designed the couple’s previous home in Dover Heights and their recently sold Palm Beach property, to turn the North Bondi home into a wellness-focused designer retreat.

The three-level residence features a cinema, billiards room and wet bar.

It’s set in Dangar Barin Smith-designed gardens with a heated mineral pool, sauna and ice bath.
