Fairytale mansions where some of Australia’s most notable TV romances blossomed have been lingering on the market unsold years after being featured on reality show The Bachelor.
Two idyllic homes with captivating courtyards and enchanting interiors that once featured across Aussie screens on early seasons of The Bachelor Australia await buyers in Sydney following lengthy campaigns and stints for sale.

The idyllic fairytale-like mansion was the setting for the first season of the Aussie TV franchise
Since appearing on the show in 2013, the original The Bachelor mansion, listed at 68 Minkara Rd has been listed for sale five times, three of those instances have been since October 2024. The latest guide price is around $18m.
The home has currently been on the market for 38 days, with previous stints on the market including 76 days and 148 days. A typical house in Sydney currently takes around 35 days to sell.
The French provincial style residence may be recognisable to avid viewers as the backdrop for the first season in 2013 that saw Tim Robards meet his now wife Anna Heinrich, who’s love story has continued to the present day with their two children.
Located on Sydney’s Northern Beaches in the suburb of Bayview, the mansion boasts sweeping views over Pittwater, sprawling sandstone terraces, arched columns and a resort-like pool.
The residence known as ‘La Joie de Vivre’ a French phrase translating to “joy of living”, was the location for 25 contestants and multiple Rose Ceremonies.
Sitting on a 4,091 sqm parcel it features a tennis court, spa, library and opulent interiors including an array of chandeliers and vast windows.

The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home last sold for $9m in May, 2023 and is currently listed via Michael Pallier and Spencer Sun of Sydney Sotheby’s International Realty Double Bay.
Listing agent Spencer Sun said the interest level for the home is currently around $18m, with previous interest just below that with an original price roughly $20m.
“We did have previous parties that have been through the house that have mentioned, is that the house that the show took place,” Mr Sun said.
“We did have comments like that.
“We had different buyers from different backgrounds come and inspect the home.”
“It’s a very special home so we are sort of looking for a very particular buyer,” Mr Sun said.
“Also the area of course it’s not like the Eastern suburbs, the turnover time is not as fast.”

A second mansion that featured on seasons two and three of the popular reality TV franchise can be found on the market in Hunters Hill.
Located at 7 Woolwich Rd the residence was the setting for the second season in 2014 as viewers watched on as Blake Garvey ended the season with Sam Frost, with the pair splitting shortly after filming.
Frost later starred in Australia’s first season of The Bachelorette.
The Hunters Hill home was also the location for season three in 2015, featuring Sam Wood that ended with him finding love with Snezana Markoski. The pair are now married and living in Melbourne with four children.
The six-bedroom, six-bathroom residence known as “Clifton” boasts romantic grand interiors with crystal chandeliers and stained glass windows on a waterfront estate that was built in the 1880s.
