Former Lidcombe home of Salim Mehajer sold for $3.9m

The sale details of the former Lidcombe home of property developer Salim Mehajer, who was declared bankrupt in 2018, have been recently registered at $3.9m.

The mansion, described as “four levels of sophistication” has been bought by M.K. A. H. R. D Pty Ltd, with 46-year-old Berala resident Mehmet Dariverenli, its sole director.

Its prior $3.85m mortgagee auction deal in October 2024 failed to proceed to settlement during 2025.

The former home of the convicted fraudster finally exchanged in February this year sold pursuant to its 2011 NAB mortgage.

The 846sq m building block cost $565,000 in 2007.

Mehajer’s home first attracted media attention in The Sunday Telegraph when his lavish August 2015 wedding to his bride Aysha involved 50 Harley-Davidsons, four helicopters, supercars, fighter jet flyovers and dancing drummers, with Frances St closed off.

The stunning Persian onyx internal staircase later featured garnered international attention in the rapper Bow Wow’s music video.

The Saturday Telegraph reported, Mehajer is back behind bars after being charged on Friday afternoon with allegedly damaging property, dishonestly tampering with a mail receptacle and entering enclosed lands without a lawful excuse at his former home.

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command police were told by a resident on June 25 that a letterbox at a home in Francis St, Lidcombe, had allegedly been damaged and items removed.

Following inquiries officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command attended a property in George St, Parramatta at 1pm on Friday where they arrested the 40-year-old.

The former Auburn deputy mayor, who served prison time for electoral fraud, was declared bankrupt in 2018.

The Dariverenli family had unsuccessful candidacy for Auburn Council in 2008 and 2012.
