Fairway Home Mortgage announced Monday that Holly Mattson has been promoted to co-president of recruiting, where she will oversee the company’s efforts to onboard mortgage producers.

Mattson will work alongside David Lazowski, president of recruiting and growth at Fairway.

“Holly brings a passion and energy to this role that will help us usher in the next generation of loan officers that are looking for the support and technology to grow,” Lazowski said in a statement. “Holly brings a deep understanding of the mortgage space in general, and specifically of Fairway and its core values.”

Mattson is in her 11th year with Fairway Home Mortgage and has 32 years of experience in the mortgage industry. She previously served in the roles of vice president of TPO production, vice president of branch business development, and senior vice president of sales and recruiting.

As the company’s top internal recruiter, Mattson and her team saw 174 loan originators return to Fairway last year after working for other mortgage companies, according to the company’s announcement.

“I am looking forward to helping expand Fairway’s market share by connecting with originators looking for a place that will help grow their business through tech and unmatched support,” Mattson said. “This move will also open the way for even further development of Fairway’s affinity projects.”

Over the past year, Fairway has launched an ecosystem under its Home.com umbrella that includes Fairway Home Insurance, Fairway Home Connect and the Made For Home credit card. The initiatives, overseen by Lazowski, are designed to help originators increase revenue streams while strengthening borrowers’ connections to loan officers, the company said.

The company most recently announced a partnership with the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) to unveil a new educational credential for NAIFA members.
