Flexible workspace solutions provider Expansive® recently announced it would be opening a new coworking location in Chicago. In partnership with Riverside Investments and Wanxiang Real Estate Group, the firm will operate a flexible office space at Prudential Plaza Tower #2 in the Windy City’s lakeshore east business district.

Located on the 35th floor of what is now branded as Two Pru, this space marks Expansive’s seventh location in the city. The new shared office space will fill a portion of the building that was previously occupied by Regus and is currently undergoing renovation. Designed to meet the evolving needs of modern professionals, the new, state-of-the-art flexible workspace will offer private offices and coworking space, as well as on-demand meeting rooms and day offices.

“Our expansion into the Pru building represents a significant milestone for Expansive as we continue to grow in partnership with institutional office owners,” said Bill Bennett, CEO of Expansive. “We are thrilled to bring this modern workspace to life, providing businesses with a dynamic environment that supports their growth and success.”

Located at the edge of Grant Park, the Pru building is a landmark rising 58 stories in the Chicago skyline. The property incorporates more than 1 million square feet of central Chicago office space. Originally completed in 1990, the building has been well-managed and maintained over time and has earned LEED Gold certification.

Two Pru features floor plates of 21,000 square feet and amenities including a 7,000-square-foot roof deck; a 12,000-square-foot health club; a 23,000-square-foot tenant lounge; a conference center that can accommodate up to 300 people; and an electric shuttle service to the Union, Ogilvie and LaSalle street stations.

What’s more, the Pru’s central business district location makes it highly accessible via several modes of public transportation and also places tenants within easy reach of an abundance of retail, dining and cultural amenities. Expansive’s 35th floor location will also offer members sprawling views of local landmarks and cultural attractions, such as Millennium Park, Cloud Gate and the Art Institute of Chicago.

Expansive Chicago Pru will officially celebrate its opening on October 1 of this year.
