The circa $50m off-the-plan sale of the Ruby Double Bay penthouse sits in Sydney’s known top 10 apartment sales list, and ranks the dearest outside the CBD.
It doubles the current $24.9m record for the increasingly glitzy downsizer suburb, set when the co-founder of Retail Apparel Group, Stephen Leibowitz and his wife, Pam, purchased the Ode penthouse on Cross St off the plan in 2023.

Developer Fortis has only just confirmed the sale of the penthouse, but already whispers suggest its mystery purchaser will emerge as Point Piper car importer Neville Crichton and his wife Nadi.
Crichton recently advised he’d inspected the place, while we were having a chat at a mate’s birthday party on the lawn at Prince Edward Yacht Club, before he walked to his nearby Longworth Ave home across the sandy beach.

Melbourne architect Pete Kennon designed the 550sq m internal space with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, set for completion early next year.
It come with two sweeping north-facing terraces landscaped by Wyer & Co, and six-car garaging with lift access, on the corner of New South Head Rd and Bay St.
