OFTEN, Tasmania’s most-viewed home of the week will be a daydream for most people, a dwelling with a price tag well beyond the norm.

But not this week.

Instead, it was a humble home about seven minutes out of the middle of Sorell that topped Tassie’s popularity charts on realestate.com.au.

This historic church on 1012sq m of land has been converted into a home, and it grabbed more attention online than any other Apple Isle listing. It also came in seventh nationwide.

It has already recorded 8000-plus page views on the property site … Welcome to No.725 Arthur Hwy, Forcett.

The two-bedroom dwelling is listed with The Agency Hobart’s property partner Shenna Rawlings.

Unsurprised to hear that the property had secured the No.1 position, Ms Rawlings said inquiries for this “little gem” had been through the roof.

“My phone and email have definitely been running hot,” she said.

“Interestingly, all the inquiries have been local with the feedback very positive regarding the property and its price bracket.

“My vendor poured a lot of love into this little property, converting it into a home — and it shows.”

Ms Rawlings said with the property being so well received by the market, she was presented with offers for it “immediately”.

“There were a couple of offers at the first open home,” she said.

“It is now under offer, and I expect it will be officially sold very soon.”

Forcett is about 30 minutes from Hobart, but it feels a world away from the hustle and bustle.

Thoughtfully renovated, No.725 Arthur Hwy dates back to 1900, a property offering a unique blend of charm with modern comfort.

The gorgeous church features two bedrooms and one bathroom, perfectly blending historical appeal with modern convenience.
