80 Devon Rd, Barrabool is selling via an expressions of interest campaign.
Set on 40ha in the Barrabool Hills, this lifestyle property provides sweeping views of Bass Strait, the Melbourne skyline, and the You Yangs.
It was these features that initially drew the vendors to the land at 80 Devon Rd, Barrabool, in 2014.
“Opportunities to purchase such a property are very rare up in the Barrabool Hills, particularly with the views it has, so we were lucky enough to acquire it as vacant land,” they said.

The custom home has two distinct architectural styles.
The main living room has concrete floors, with brick and timber highlights. The kitchen features Calacatta marble and Miele appliances.
“At the time, there was no infrastructure on the property, which meant we had a blank canvas to work with.”
The couple worked closely with Anthony and Marie Ivelja of Projekt Evolve, who developed the final design and architecture for their sprawling five-bedroom home.
“We wanted to create a home that catered for our needs as a family and created the initial designs ourselves,” said the vendors.
With two sections – a living, kitchen, family, and dining zone – and a separate children’s bedroom wing, two distinct architectural styles are used to distinguish each zone.
“The character section of the house is built from recycled old Geelong red bricks, which also feature throughout several rooms internally as exposed brick walls,” the vendors said.
“This section also incorporates are recycled Baltic pine floor to help create the charm of a period home.”
The deck and pool overlook the surrounding countryside.
The main bedroom suite also large windows framing the rural view.
Beyond the home, the estate has six fenced paddocks, two dams and spring to support equine use, grazing or small-scale agriculture.
The second wing has a contemporary style and features an exposed timber structure created from large Melbourne Wharf timbers on entry to the living room.
The main bedroom suite is also located in this section of the home, a private retreat introduced by a recycled timber door.
“The master bedroom is a beautiful, large space with a freestanding bath and windows that allow you to soak up the views from the tub and to wake up in this space with the curtains open and no neighbours in sight is a beautiful way to start each day,” the vendors said.
High ceilings and large windows feature, with glazed breezeways connecting the reimagined traditional homestead area to the contemporary bedroom wing.
Outside, the property features a separate pool house, an in-ground pool, a covered deck adjoining another large outdoor entertainment zone and an expansive shed with a workshop, bar, mezzanine entertainment area, and a balcony with a picturesque outlook towards Mount Moriac.
Outdoor entertaining takes centre stage at the property.
The mezzanine level in the shed is a spacious man cave with it’s own balcony and bar.
Every country house needs a decent laundry and mudroom.
“We have been blessed to share this with family and friends and have created many great memories as we are fortunate to host large groups in that area or just enjoy family time,” the vendors said.
“From New Year’s Eve get-togethers to Easter weekend glamping in our personal camping area, we have really loved living here.”
