Cricketer Ron Luff and wife Sophie have put their Bentleigh East townhouse on the market.
Prominent cricketer Ron Luff and his wife Sophie have listed their Bentleigh East townhouse after an excellent innings at the home.
The couple are selling their four-bedroom pad at 3B Becket Ave with $1.7m-$1.8m price hopes, with plans to downsize.
Luff is something of a legend at the Burwood Cricket Club where he celebrated his 400th game in December.

As a member of the Australian Cricket Society’s masters’ team, he represented Victoria at a New Zealand match in November 2025.
Luff’s sporting career has also seen him play at a premier level in Northcote and North Melbourne, in addition to serving as a coach.
Luff said he and his wife purchased their townhouse off-the-plan about five years ago.
The couple now live at the residence with their two youngest daughters and pet dog.
The kitchen features stone benchtops and splashbacks, an island bench with a breakfast bar and a butler’s pantry.
Run Luff said one of his cricket career highlights was playing alongside daughter Chloe, when she was aged 16. Chloe was recruited when her father’s Burwood side needed an extra player.

Luff said one of Sophie’s favourite rooms was the kitchen that’s equipped with stone benchtops and splashbacks, an island bench with a breakfast bar, Smeg and Bosch appliances, a five-burner gas cooktop and butler’s pantry.
Having an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge room means Sophie can chat with family or guests while cooking up a storm, which is one of her hobbies.
Glass sliding doors open to a covered deck with a built-in barbecue, ceiling fan and timber decking.
“It was really important to use that the backyard was west-facing, so you get the afternoon sun,” Luff said.
“If you want to have a barbecue of a night or an afternoon, you get the nice afternoon sun coming into the home too.”
The upstairs living area means parents can enjoy some quiet time away from the kids.
The townhouse has three bathrooms including the main family bathroom and two ensuites.
The ground floor bedroom with an ensuite is the perfect spot for visitors such as friends and grandchildren to stay.
And Luff said that having two living areas, one located upstairs, meant he and Sophie could enjoy time on their own while their daughters spend time in the other living area.
The main bedroom showcases both a built-in wardrobe and walk-in wardrobe, plus an ensuite with dual vanities.
Two other bedrooms and a family bathroom with a freestanding bathtub complete the upstairs offering.
The townhouse is close to schools, parks and Bentleigh train station.
Luff said the townhouse was close to Centre Rd’s many restaurants and shops, in addition the Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre (GESAC) which is a popular destination for his and Sophie’s grandchildren.
O’Brien property consultant and auctioneer John Rombotis said the home was positioned within the Bentleigh Secondary College and Tucker Road Bentleigh Primary School zones, making it ideal for families.
“It has that extra great living zone which is great, high ceilings and it’s neat and low maintenance,” Mr Rombotis said.
The home will be auctioned at 12.30pm on February 28.
