After spending $3.55m on their Gold Coast apartment upgrade into the luxury Rockpool Rainbow Bay project, Melbourne Storm head coach Craig Bellamy and wife Wendy are selling their nearby longtime apartment.

Ray White Malan + Co agents Christopher Guest and Jordan Babolka had it scheduled for early July auction, with hopes of $1.19m plus being advised post-auction.

It’s been a tough NRL season for the Storm – captain Harry Grant and coach Craig Bellamy.

It went under offer this week after 3100 page views on realestate.com.au.

The couple have had the two-bedroom, two bathroom Coolangatta apartment for 16 years, paying $540,000 in 2010, the same year Bellamy left his post as NSW Blues coach after a 3-0 defeat against Queensland.

The couple also had an investment apartment in the same building, which they offloaded for $1.56m in 2023, having paid $875,000 in 2019.

The complex was developed by the Ray family in 2000.

The long-time Coolangatta apartment of Craig Bellamy and wife Wendy has gone under offer.

The home has fetched around $1.2m.

The Bellamys first bought in the now very popular southern strip of the Gold Coast in 2002, initially buying a one-bedroom Calypso Plaza Resort apartment for $190,000.

It fetched $675,000 in 2025.

The Bellamy’s still have other property holdings in the locality.

They own a home on Boundary St having bought the land for $1.45m in 2021 before building the three-storey home.

The Bellamy family have also recently secured two investment apartments in the newly completed Esprit Rainbow Bay development by S&S Projects.

Each cost just over $1.1m in the building where other buyers included surf legends Mick Fanning, Joel Parkinson and Mark Mathews.

The Bellamy’s purchased their $3.55m outlook in the luxury Rockpool Rainbow Bay complex off the plan in 2021.

The home has ocean views.

Bellamy also owns nearby.

For several years there’s been speculation about the eventual retirement of the Albert Park-based coach to the Gold Coast after winning three premierships.

“He deserves the opportunity to lay on a reclining chair with the Coolangatta sun in his face,” commentator Cooper Cronk suggested in 2023.
