A cosy Coburg unit attracted a number of buyers to its Saturday action-packed auction selling for more than $50,000 above its reserve price.
The two-bedroom villa at 4/58 Munro St was offloaded for $757,000 had initial $620,000-$680,000 price hopes.
Two bidders went head to head for the property at its auction among a large crowd, with bidding starting at $650,000.

Offers rose between the two vying groups in $10,000, $5000 and even $1000 bids until the abode was sold.
The home’s reserve price was $700,000.
Seller Belinda Howard said she and her partner were thrilled with the sale result.
“I’m relieved it’s all over but really happy; it’s way better than what we could have hoped for,” she said.

After purchasing a home in the same suburb, Ms Howard said her family was ready to start settling into their new residence.
The 37-year-old purchased the Munro St villa in mid-2019 for $710,000 and not long after that, she met her partner who eventually moved in.
Since then, they’ve had a baby girl and have upsized to a larger property.
Ms Howard said she loved that the villa was close to the library, shops as well as Coburg train station and trams.
“Since having my little girl, it’s been great for all the parks and library and the leisure centre and her daycare,” she said.
“The home itself has just been amazing; the hardwood floors, there’s lots of light, and the ability to have a courtyard.
“We renovated the back bit of the home and did a whole lot of gardening; it kind of feels like our own little oasis.”

She added that she had always liked Melbourne’s north side as it felt homely, community-orientated and relaxed.
Ray White Coburg auctioneer Raphael Calik-Houston said a couple in their 30s from Brunswick snapped up the abode as they loved the position and that it was semi-renovated.
“In the north, units, if it’s close to public transport and the shops and has some sort of renovation, they are still performing really, really well,” Mr Calik-Houston said.
“Anything that doesn’t have that accessibility isn’t doing as well.”
Located in a boutique block of villas, the unit features a north-facing entertainment area, a large main bedroom and stainless-steel appliances in its kitchen.
