Having moved back to New Zealand, former Bondi Rescue lifeguard Harrison Reid has sold his Rose Bay home.
Reid, who last December announced he’d quit the hit Channel 10 show, had initially tried to sell the apartment in late 2024, however he failed to find a buyer. Fortunately, he had better luck in the apartment’s more recent marketing campaign, finding a $1.5m buyer after just three weeks through LJH’s Hamish McMaster and Dan Maloney.
The 32-year-old returned home to Christchurch, the only child of parents Kevin and KB, and has become a real estate agent at the Harcourts Gold Papanui office. He has quickly sold a mix of houses, apartments and land.

The professional Waverley Council lifeguard had moved to Rose Bay in 2019 from Bellevue Hill where he first set up in Sydney after relocating from New Zealand in 2014. He bought a two-bedroom Victoria Rd, Bellevue Hill apartment, for $725,000 in 2014, before reconfiguring it into a large one-bed, which he sold for $745,000 in 2019.
Reid shared the news to his 156k Instagram followers that he would be leaving the show late last year.
“With today being the first day of summer not putting on the blue shirt, it feels real that I’ve officially stepped away from my role as a Bondi lifeguard,” Reid wrote.
“Not many people get to say they landed their dream job at 18 and lived it for 12 years – turning up to work each day with your best mates, never knowing what the day would throw at you.”
Reid joined Bondi Rescue’s 10th season in 2014. The show was last on air in 2024.
