A city apartment and a beachfront residence were the most expensive homes to sell in Cairns this year with the region recording 28 sales of $2m and above in 2025.
Tying for first place, a sub-penthouse in Cairns City, and a seven-bedroom Kewarra Beach home both sold for $3.35m.
The unit at 90/1 Marlin Pde, Cairns City, has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and 270-degree views across Trinity Inlet, the city and the mountains.
Sold by Taylor Foster of McGrath Cairns, the property was refurbished in 2023 by La Spina Homes and featured stone benchtops, bespoke cabinetry, a luxurious master suite and easy indoor-outdoor flow.

The sprawling coastal property at 54 Kewarra St, Kewarra Beach, sold by Michael Oxford of Professionals Cairns Beaches for $3.35m, sits on a 1650 sqm block with beach access.
The home was freshly renovated and featured multiple indoor and outdoor living spaces, a resort-style pool and a luxurious master suite with two walk-in wardrobes and a private balcony.

Coming in third spot was 35 Harbour Drive, Trinity Park, which was sold by Nathan Shingles of FNQ Hot Property for $2.9m.
Sitting on an 800 sqm waterfront block in Bluewater Harbour, the property boasted a 13.14m deep water frontage, an infinity edge pool, fire pit area, an 8m pontoon and a designer home with six bedrooms and six bathrooms.

Next was the $2.82m sale of Lot 1 Kamerunga Rd, Kamerunga, in January 2025.
Known as ‘The Figs’, the 1.82ha estate has 130-year-old fig trees, a sprawling character home, an award-winning tennis court and garage parking for up to 11 cars.
There was also a wine cellar, billiards room, two sheds and acres of established landscaping.

The Cairns region’s fifth most expensive sale of 2025 was the $2.7m sale of 6 Strutton Pl, Mooroobool, through Andrew Thornton of Champion Estate Agents in August.
Sitting on a 1523 sqm block with 300-degree views across the ocean, city and mountains, the home had four bedrooms, three bathrooms and two double lock up garages.
Spread across three levels, the residence had easy indoor-outdoor flow linking open plan living areas, the pool and the balconies.
