The catch? It sits within the UK’s only residential nudist community, the Spielplatz Naturist Village – a 12‑acre estate with around 50 residents and resort‑style amenities including play areas, a heated swimming pool, a hot tub, a games court and a clubhouse hosting year‑round social events.

Recent upgrades include new windows, doors, fittings, electrics, roof and cladding. Outside, there’s a large garden, private parking and extra guest parking.

“This chalet can be for a holiday residence or your all year round home but this park is for genuine nudists only,” Mather Estates.

“This chalet has been refurbished to a great standard and in our opinion is now one of the best homes on the park.”

The home sits among 33 similarly sized timber bungalows, with several caravans also dotted around the estate.

Residents include a teacher, a retired BT engineer, a town planner and a mechanic.

Locals describe the vibe as “easy and comfortable”.

Joanne Hudson, a 59‑year‑old mum‑of‑two who moved in 2020.

“I live by myself and I love it. It’s so easy and friendly and comfortable here,” she told The Sun.

“I’ve had breast cancer recently and the people here have been amazing.

“I tell everybody where I live. Some people get it, some don’t.”

To outsiders, naturism can carry misconceptions, according to Alan, a 76‑year‑old retired BT engineer.

“We’ve had a few people turn up and ask: ‘What time does the orgy start?’.“But it’s not about sex. The image is different from the reality,” he told The Sun.

Interest in the lifestyle is rising, too.

One recent survey found 14 per cent of Brits now describe themselves as naturists or nudists – up from two per cent in 2001.

There are also hundreds of dedicated nudist (naturist) parks, campsites, and specialised resorts across Europe, with France, Croatia, Germany, and Spain hosting the largest numbers.

Popular guides list nearly 200 dedicated naturist campsites alone, while hundreds of official, secluded FKK (Freikörperkultur) beaches and zones exist in public parks and coastal areas.
