Rich lister Ian Malouf is releasing a jaw-dropping penthouse with a world-first rooftop pickleball court in his newly built apartment tower in Broadbeach.

Spanning an extraordinary 1200 sqm across three levels, the penthouse in the $300m Remi Residences is being offered through via expressions of interest.

Remi Developments – helmed by renowned Sydney businessmen Ian Malouf and Peter Wilding – held back the release of the penthouse to align with what they describe as “ideal market timing”.

“This development reflects what we like in our yachts and residences in scale, design, finishes and artwork,” said Mr Malouf, also known as “Australia’s richest garbo”.

“Our objective was to create a world-class penthouse with everything including a Padel Court” said Ian Malouf.

It is designed for indoor-outdoor living and offers multiple entertainment zones including private function spaces, alfresco areas, and balconies.

Hanan Cawley, managing director of Highland’s Gold Coast office, said there was no completed luxury penthouse product of this calibre currently available in the central Gold Coast.

“This is a rare chance to experience and purchase an ultra-luxury residence that is not just conceptual, but fully complete and ready to occupy,” Mr Cawley said.

Remi Residences, at 122 Surf Pde, offers immediate occupancy in a market typically dominated by off-the-plan sales and construction timelines.

Mr Hanan said the penthouse also reflected a forward-thinking approach to sustainability and convenience, without compromising luxury.

“Unlike off-the-plan opportunities that may take years to materialise, this penthouse offers certainty, exclusivity, and immediate possession,” said Mr Cawley.

“It’s a turnkey lifestyle statement that can’t be replicated.”

David Highland, CEO of Highland Property, said the Remi penthouse was one of the most remarkable penthouses he had ever seen.

“It’s not just the size and scale — it’s the lifestyle, the finish, the readiness,” Mr Highland said.

“Ian’s created something truly iconic here.”

Amenities at Remi Residences include spa treatment rooms, plunge pools, a 15m lap pool, residents’ lounge and two resident-only Tesla electric vehicles.

Mr Malouf has extensive property holdings, but made a large chunk of his fortune when he sold his Dial-a-Dump business to Bingo Industries in 2018 in a $577m cash and shares deal.

The billionaire owns a string of luxury properties in Sydney and also has a collection of superyachts.
