His latest big-ticket purchase on Mermaid Beach’s Hedges Ave — known as Billionaire’s Row — follows his $18.5m whole-floor penthouse buy on the same street.

The former politician and businessman, who owns hundreds of residential properties, is the undisputed king of Hedges Ave — he now owns four luxury residences on the strip as well as a 993sq m block of beachfront land.
Palmer bought his latest beach house through agents Amir Mian and Carlie Mills.
“It was an astute buyer who knows the value of prime beachfront,” Mr Mian said.

The four-bedroom, five-bathroom house is on a 405sq m block and includes a Mediterranean inspired influence.

The vendors paid $11m for the property in 2014 and had previously had it on the rental market at $2200 per week.
Mermaid Beach is the most expensive suburb on the Gold Coast with a median house value of $3,420,453 according to PropTrack.
