The house that embattled Victoria Cross recipient Ben Roberts-Smith sold to help fund his multi-million-dollar defamation case against Nine newspapers has resold.
Records show the lavish, 4ha property on Ilkley Rd in the Sunshine Coast suburb of Ilkley has sold for $3.4m — a significant discount on the initial listing price of $3.995m.

The decorated soldier and his ex-wife Emma sold the property for $2.16m in December of 2020.
Mr Roberts-Smith, who has denied any wrongdoing during his time in Afghanistan and Iraq, took action against Nine over allegations of war crimes.
The total civil defamation proceedings were estimated to cost between $30m and $40m.
The property had undergone a recent renovation before the latest sale.
