Baywatch star Yasmine Bleeth has traded the red swimsuit for a reclusive life, more than two decades after personal struggles saw her black-listed from Hollywood.

Once one of the hottest TV stars in the 90s, the 57-year-old now shuns the spotlight, rarely leaving the Chateau-style home.

Bleeth and her husband, Paul Cerrito, split their time between Scottsdale, Arizona, and their primary residence in LA’s prestigious Hancock Park.

According to reports, the glamour girl snapped up the two-bedroom condo at Faubourg St. Denis in 1996 for just $US370,000 ($A531,000).

Today, the pad is estimated to be worth more than $US1.5m ($A2.1m).

Built in 1927, the historic building, featuring a swimming pool, spa, sundeck, and secure, gated underground parking.

It is a far cry from the fame Bleeth enjoyed playing Caroline Holden on Baywatch from 1993 to 1997.

During her five-year peak, she was a fixture in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women lists and dated A-listers including Matthew Perry and Don Johnson.

However, behind the scenes, her career was imploding.

Screenwriter Douglas Schwartz later revealed Bleeth was fired from the hit show because she was “not showing up” and her cocaine addiction made her “too difficult” to work with.

“That’s why we let Yasmine go … because it was too difficult to deal with her after a while,” he told Esquire in 2012.

While she continued to act, with roles in shows such as Nash Bridges and Titans, Bleeth’s behaviour behind the scenes did damage to her career.

The actor’ career fell apart due to substance abuse issues, with black-listing her because she was considered challenging to work with, the US Sun reports.

At the height of her trouble, Bleeth stated her cocaine habit was so severe she went without sleep for five days at a time.

She eventually checked into the Malibu-based Promises Rehabilitation Clinic to overcome cocaine dependence.

However, Bleeth relapsed after leaving the clinic and ended up getting arrested in 2001 after police found syringes filled with cocaine in her car after a near-fatal accident.

While in rehab, she met Cerrito, a former strip club owner and the pair tied the knot in August 2002.

But, the damage to her career was permanent. Bleeth hasn’t acted since 2003. The star’s final TV appearance was on Howard Stern On Demand 2006.

In recent years, the former pin-up has been seen only a handful of times, usually walking her dog near her home while wearing pyjamas.
