Celebrity couple Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich are selling their luxury Gold Coast pad

Bachelor couple Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich have listed their Gold Coast apartment, just months after their long-awaited move to the lavish beachfront property.

The celebrity pair, who fell in love in the first season of The Bachelor Australia in 2013, splurged on an apartment in the 25-storey Mondrian building, housing the Glitter Strip city’s newest five-star hotel at Burleigh Heads.

They bought the luxury three-bedroom fourth-floor unit for about $2.5m in 2021, four years before moving from Sydney in June with their two young daughters, Elle and Ruby, once the tower was completed.

Shock results from Block auctions

Queensland’s speediest re-sell suburbs revealed

But the high-profile couple announced they would take the property to auction after deciding to return to Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Heinrich joked about throwing in the agent’s red Ferrari featured in the property video for the lucky cashed-up buyer.

“We’re selling our Gold Coast pad after much deliberation.

“Ferrari not included…but if the price is right, maybe I can get Ed to throw it in!”

The property at 405/58 The Esplanade, Burleigh Heads is marketed by Coastal agent Ed Cherry and will go under the hammer on November 7.

The couple says it won’t be easy to give up the beachfront lifestyle

“They are moving back to Sydney to be closer to family,” Mr Cherry said.

“Anna has two sisters there and they are really close.

“The Mondrian has a courtesy car that can drop you to the airport and back which has been nice for them, because they are back and forth from Sydney three times a week, but it is just getting too much for them.”

The oceanview apartment features high-end contemporary interiors over a 183 sqm floorplan, anchored by an open-plan living zone and kitchen with natural stone benches and a butler’s pantry, opening out to a protected balcony.

All bedrooms are generously sized with walk-in robes, two with ensuites and the third serviced by the sleek main bathroom, while there are two car spaces.

Resident amenities include a a pool, spa, steam room, yoga garden and gym, and library – along with access to the hotel’s room service, housekeeping, security and valet.

While no price guide was available ahead of auction, the Robards stand to make a hefty profit on their Queensland investment, with recent resales in the building at $7.1m and $6.4m – about $3m more than the sellers paid – albeit for larger units on higher levels.

The highest recorded sale among the hotel’s 84 branded apartments was $14.08m for a full-floor penthouse owned by Ignite Travel Group managing director Randall Deer.

Mr Cherry said he had already turned back offers in the low $3ms for the Bachelor couple’s pad.

[We] will miss it so much,” Heinrich said.

“It’s been amazing.”

PropTrack data shows apartment prices in Burleigh Heads were up a staggering 35.4 per cent over the past 12 months to a median of $1.855m.
