Travis Boak has officially sold his Somerton Park home.
The ink has dried on the multimillion-dollar sale of AFL legend Travis Boak’s Adelaide home.
The Somerton Park residence at 1 Fairfield Ave was snapped up for $4.5m shortly after it hit the market in January, with property records showing the sale recently settled.
Boak, who holds the record for the most AFL games ever played for Port Adelaide Football Club, bought the property in 2019 and rebuilt the house on it.
He listed it as he left SA following a successful 19-season career with the Power and headed back to his home state of Victoria, where the star midfielder will work with Carlton Football Club’s leadership and culture teams, and also with another business in the leadership space.

It has five bedrooms and three bathrooms.
The open kitchen, dining and living area flows seamlessly outside.
Selling agent Rob Smitheram, of Ray White Glenelg, said it attracted strong interest throughout its short campaign.
“There were 168 groups in the first weekend, some of them would have been fans,” said Mr Smitheram, who sold the property with Jordan Ekers.
“It had a lot of interest, we had overseas inquiries, from the UK and South Africa.”
While families showed the most interest, Mr Smitheram said downsizers secured the property.
He said they were locals who lived just around the corner and knew Boak through a children’s cancer foundation.

“Theirs was the highest offer, it was well above what we thought it would be worth,” he said.
It was a rare find in Somerton Park, Mr Smitheram said, with most of the modern homes available on the western side of Brighton Rd being multi-story.
“Everyone wants west of Brighton Rd in Somerton Park, but there are not many single level homes in there anymore, not modern ones,” he said.
Local downsizers purchased the property.

Somerton Park is a popular beachside suburb in Adelaide.
Single story, modern homes on the western side of Brighton Rd are hard to come by.
Boak said when he listed the 950sqm property with five-bedroom house that it had been a great home and place to have gatherings with teammates and coaches.
While he built the home to suit him, Boak said he always had a family in mind knowing he’d one day sell it.
“I was probably not realising how sad I would be when that day came, and that time has come now and I’m sad to be leaving,” he said in January.
“When I was packing up the place it really hit me that I was not coming back here again and wouldn’t be enjoying it anymore, but I’m excited for whoever does buy it.”
He assured it wouldn’t be the last SA sees of him.
“I really loved every minute of my time in SA,” he said.
“I’m so fond of it and I’m so grateful for what Adelaide and SA has given me and the opportunity to live out my dream there.
“I always felt at home and it’s a big part of my life I’ll remember forever.”
