Sydney Swans recruit Charlie Curnow is selling his beachside Torquay townhouse for $930,000 to $980,000.
AFL star forward Charlie Curnow is offloading his beachfront Torquay townhouse after moving north to join the Sydney Swans.
A week after starting pre-season training with his new club, the dual Coleman medallist has listed his two-bedroom weekender overlooking Fishermans Beach.
The Surf Coast native has swapped the prized location for another beachside neighbourhood in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

The Swans secured the dominant forward from Carlton, where he played 149 games and kicked 313 goals, on the final day of this year’s trade period.
Curnow bought the townhouse, at 6/84 The Esplanade, Torquay, almost five years ago as a getaway.
Natural Real Estate, Torquay, listing agent Shaun O’Callaghan said it offered a break from city life where he could immerse himself in nature and catch up with family still living in the area.
He said Curnow had a sauna on the deck, which, coupled with a chilly ocean dip, was great for recovery.

The first floor living area and deck have ocean views.
Polished hardwood floors feature in the open-plan living zone.
“The location is everything and part of the reason Charlie bought it was to be able to down regulate after a stressful working week,” Mr O’Callaghan said.
“The other big advantage was just being able to have something that was convenient, just lock up and leave and not too much to maintain and that ocean view corridor was something that was really appealing as well.
“Predominantly it was bought just to stay connected to home because his parents are here but you don’t always want to stay with your parents.”
At other times the townhouse, listed for $930,000 to $980,000, has been rented out as short stay accommodation.

The sauna is just outside the main bedroom.
The property has access off both The Esplanade and Felix Cres.
Ocean views are a highlight of the main first floor living area and balcony, while the main bedroom suite downstairs links to a second private deck with the sauna.
Curnow’s interest in wellness extends beyond the home front – he also joined forces with his older brother and former Carlton player Ed to open the popular About Time Bathhouse in Torquay at the end of 2024.
Geelong captain Patrick Dangerfield is among high-profile customers of the retreat, which he revealed plans to visit during grand final week last year.
