Star auctioneer Tom Panos has seemingly confirmed the date of The Block auctions in a recent video posted to his YouTube channel.

In the video, Panos confirmed he will be auctioning house number five — renovated by Robby and Mat — and announced the date of the auction.

“The 25th of October, all eyes are on house number five, the one with the pickleball court,” he said.

“I went and saw The Block in Melbourne … I’m representing Robby and Mat, house number five.

“I was always going to do their house if I was going to do The Block.”

The auction date of the home has not been publicised by Channel Nine or on the home’s listing.

It is a major backflip for Panos, who said in November he “probably won’t be returning” to The Block, citing increased frustrations with lost earnings from appearing on the show.

Panos previously auctioned off the show’s winning homes in 2022 and 2023.

Last year he sold Courtney and Grant’s house for $3.3m, the second-highest sale of the 2024 season.

In 2023 and 2024, Panos’ auctions were won by entrepreneur Adrian Portelli, who also bought all five of the homes on last year’s series.

Portelli said earlier this year he would not be involved in 2025’s auctions, announcing at the time that he would instead be part of Channel 7’s rival show ‘My Reno Rules’.
