Victoria is on a mission to boost its housing stock, targeting 800,000 new homes within the next decade - including 1,300 in regional Victoria alone.
This effort is further supported by initiatives such as the 10-year greenfield project, a significant commitment to unlock land for development.

Here are house and land packages under $500,000 in Victoria’s booming suburbs.
Melton
Located on the outskirts of Melbourne, Melton has experienced growth with the Victorian government estimating the population is expected to grow to over 485,000 people by 2051.

Located 35km west of Melbourne’s CBD, the government listed Melton as a priority to revitalise, through infrastructure developments such as a new hospital, roadworks and potentially a major upgrade to the Western highway.
