Actress Sutton Foster has filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years amid rumours she’s embroiled in a romance with “Wolverine” star Hugh Jackman.

Page Six reports the “Younger” actress filed for an uncontested divorce from screenwriter Ted Griffin on October 22, just months after she sold her historic estate in New York for $US2 million ($A3.03 million).

Foster, who appeared alongside Jackman in the smash-hit Broadway show “The Music Man,” had purchased the stunning home in Tuxedo Park, New York, in 2021 for $US1.6 million ($A2.4 million).

According to Realtor, the 49-year-old star decided to list the seven-bedroom property for $US2.2 million ($A3.3 million) in December 2023.

The decision to sell the home — which Foster once described as “magical” — cannot have been an easy one, particularly as she once told Architectural Digest that the house “felt like that home you want your kid to grow up in,” adding that she could see herself, Griffin, and their daughter, Emily, spending many a Christmas and holiday there.

She added that Griffin was the one who stumbled across the home after they began seeking a “permanent” base outside of the city, and found themselves drawn to the gated community of Tuxedo Park.

“We would drive by Tuxedo Park, and we were always curious what was back there,” she recalled, before revealing that Griffin told her when he found the property that he felt it was their “forever home.”

“The minute I walked in, I felt the same way,” she went on. “It felt like that home you want your kid to grow up in. I could see Christmases and holidays, friends, and family.”

With Foster and Griffin’s marriage now at an end, questions may be asked as to whether the decision to put the property on the market was an eerie foreshadowing of their split.

Foster listed the home the same month that rumours began to swirl about her romance with Jackman, who had just split from his wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness.

Multiple reports claimed that the pair’s onstage chemistry turned into a real-life relationship while they were starring in the wildly successful Broadway show “The Music Man,” which ran from December 2021 until January 2023.

A few months before Foster took on her role in the show, she offloaded her Los Angeles property for $US1.5 million ($A2.2 million) in October 2021.

In addition to the New York estate and her former L.A. abode, Foster has owned a penthouse apartment in Manhattan and a home in Greenwood Lake, New York.

Foster bought her lake house in 2010, four years before she and Griffin tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.

Soon after their marriage, the couple moved into their Manhattan abode.

News of Foster’s divorce comes 13 months after Jackman split from his wife after nearly three decades of marriage.

At the time, Jackman and Furness shared a joint statement about their separation.

“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”

The pair share two children.

Neither Foster nor Jackman have publicly commented on the rumours surrounding their alleged relationship.

However, sources told Page Six that the pair want to keep any romance hidden from the public eye.

“They are 100 per cent together and are in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together,” the insider claimed.

“They go out of their way to hide [the relationship], but it’s common knowledge,” a second source added.
