Former North Melbourne player and board member Mark Brayshaw and wife Debra are set to punt the bayside house where their AFL star sons grew up.
The couple’s four boys, William, Angus, Hamish and Andrew, love the Sandringham home’s resort-style back yard featuring a pool and outdoor kitchen that’s hosted many family and footy-related celebrations.
Andrew is Fremantle’s co-vice captain, while Hamish played for West Coast and is now with East Perth in the West Australian Football League.

After an almost-decade-long career and a Melbourne premiership win in 2021, Angus retired two years ago due to the ongoing effects of concussion.
Mark himself had an illustrious AFL career beginning at WA’s Claremont Football Club and playing with North Melbourne in the 1990s.
He was Richmond’s chief executive from 2000 to 2004, spent eight years on North Melbourne’s board and served as the AFL Coaches Association’s chief executive from 2014 to 2021.
His brother is retired cricketer and media personality James Brayshaw.

The kitchen was renovated in 2012 as part of a wider upgrade to the home.
Mark said that he and Debra, a retired teacher who runs a tutoring business, bought their four-bedroom abode more than 25 years ago.
“In 2012, we renovated the back half of the house including the main living room, swimming pool and outdoor area,” he said.
Their indoor kitchen is fitted with stone surfaces, Miele appliances and a walk-in pantry, while the impressive outdoor kitchen includes a barbecue, wine and bar fridge, two sinks, dishwasher and bespoke timber benchtop on the island bench.
The outdoor kitchen and lounge area has seen plenty of special events held across the years.

There’s two bathrooms including the family bathroom with a rain shower and a bathtub.
A covered area with a television and heat strips, plus a powder room and outdoor shower makes for a spectacular entertainers’ set-up.
“The boys loved it and we particularly enjoy hosting events there,” Mark said.
“We have an annual pre-season barbecue for the Fremantle Dockers’ families who live in Victoria and used to do so for the Melbourne Demons’ families as well.”
Apart from their own sons, they have hosted several young AFL draftees across the years including Anthony Stevens, Luke Jackson, Kozzy Pickett, Trent Rivers and Clayton Oliver.
“We also hosted lots of cutthroat table tennis matches in the back after the renovation, which was very popular with the guests and our sons,” Mark said.

He added that the house had been a great place to raise their family thanks to the nearby kindergartens, schools, parks and ovals.
Indoors, there’s a floating staircase, fitted home office and a central lounge room with custom cabinetry.
The main bedroom suite has a sitting area, ensuite and walk-in wardrobe.
Buxton’s Kylie Charlton said buyers, including families with pre-teen and teenage children, had been wowed by the entertainers’ space.
“I really like the backroom, the kitchen, dining and lounge, the full floor-to-ceiling windows which overlook the pool and you can also see the alfresco area, it’s full of natural light,” Ms Charlton said.
The residence is close to Sandringham Hospital, bus stops, Southland shopping centre and the local train station.

She added that the Brayshaws’ street had previously been home to West Coast Eagles premiership captain and ex-Gold Coast coach Guy “Bluey” McKenna.
Ms Charlton had the listing when McKenna sold his house a few years ago.
The Brayshaw’s house is for sale with a $2.65m-$2.85m range.
