The Hyams price weakness has been exacerbated by traffic management issues during summer, first exposed in a 2018 A Current Affair report on 4000 vehicles attempting to enter the single-road village with its 400-car capacity.

A 2025 TripAdviser post advised arriving before 8am to find a car spot in the dedicated parking or before 10am to find street parking.

The Australian reported on Monday, that Armytage is set to scrap it out with Amelia Adams for the coveted role co-hosting Channel 9’s Today Show alongside Karl Stefanovic for when Sarah Abo takes maternity leave in a few months time.
