An upcoming charity auction is seeing a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home up for sale – and with no reserve price set, the highest bidder on the day will be securing their new home.
The 2025 House for Life auction will be held on April 5, selling the property at 43 Amulree St, Tarragindi.
Built by Plantation Homes, the auction gives 100 per cent of the proceeds to Mater Little Miracles: a fund dedicated to helping ill and premature babies at the Mater Mothers’ Neonatal Critical Care Unit.

Auctioneer Justin Nickerson of Apollo Auctions said a no-reserve option represented an inclusive opportunity for a wide range of buyers.
“The fact that it’s a no reserve auction is fairly unique,” he said, and added his last no reserve auction attracted 160 registered bidders.
Mr Nickerson said his previous House for Life auction also saw a strong turnout, both from bidders and people eager to participate in the charity event.
“It was kind of a carnival atmosphere,” he said. “There was face painting and sausage sizzles and a real kind of buzz to the whole day. And there was just a sea of people … we’re hoping to see those conditions present themselves again.”
The house was built by Plantation Homes, and is the company’s 10th house for the charity.
The home has a 7-star energy efficiency rating and sits on 607 sqm of land.

Fully furnished with contemporary features, the family home also boasts a butlers pantry and pool for its new homeowners to use as soon as they move in.
Plantation Homes general manager Alex Raleigh said this was the company’s 10th House for Life, having raised more than $6.5 million for the Mater Foundation since 2008.
“House for Life is a collective effort from individuals committed to making a difference,” he said. “We’re grateful for the invaluable support from our dedicated trades and suppliers, who generously contribute their time and resources to make this charity home a reality and play a pivotal role in bringing this home to life.”
The interior of the home is fully furnished, ready for its new residents to use.
100 per cent of the proceeds will be going to Mater Little Miracles, a fund helping ill and premature infants at the Mater Hospital.
The home is being sold by real estate agency Coronis, with the campaign led by Solomon Michael.
Coronis Chairman Andrew Coronis said the loss of his son Peter in 2001 was a large reason why he and his wife Anna value the Mater Foundation’s work.
“Words cannot describe the pain we went through, and still do today,” he said. “But the wonderful people at the Mater made a very traumatic time of sadness just that little bit better. Anna and I vowed to help as many babies as we could and for families to not have to experience what we endured.”
The no-reserve sale will take place at the property at 12pm Saturday, April 5.
Mr Nickerson said his first child was born at the Mater Hospital, and he’d previously volunteered in some of their programs.
“I think the Mater and all they’ve done to support anyone in that phase their life has been incredible,” he said. “We get to play a small role in this, but it makes you feel good that you’re contributing to a really good cause.”
The House for Life auction will be held on-site at 12pm on Saturday.
