An Aussie tradie has exposed the real truth inside our water pipes and the shocking reality of our drinking water.

Australian plumber and water filtration specialist Adam McInnes has given an insight into his daily job replacing Australian homeowners’ filtration systems — and the results have left many disturbed and concerned.

As the director of Central Coast Water Filtration, Mr McInnes began sharing the results of what some of the filters looked like after 8-12 months of being installed.

The Central Coast local placed two filters next to each other showing a comparison of the two filters, the new one pristine white, while the old one a brown discoloured, rusted colour.

He also wiped his hand across the old filter, dirtying his hand with a grimy, brown substance.

He explained the brown residue was dirt, sediment, rust and debris that gets pushed through the water main, straight into your house through all your plumbing, taps, drinking water and appliances.

The results were from drinking water around The Central Coast, including homes in Maitland, Glenning Valley and Erina.

When ranking Central Coast suburbs with the worst water quality he had seen, he named Wyoming, Wamberal and Terrigal.

“It can be down to low infrastructure and because of high chlorine content,” Mr McInnes said.

“But it can be pretty much the whole Central Coast.”

The results from an Erina home was “one of the worst” he’d seen.

“This one even shocked me,” he said.

“Surely after looking at that you’re not drinking tap water anymore.”

Mr McInnes conducts yearly filter replacements for his clients, yet one comparison video showed how much gunk had piled up in one filter after just eight months.

“This is a filter from a whole house water filtration system, that’s been in for eight months, usually we aim for 12 months … but this one is absolutely cooked.

“That is your drinking water. That is just what you can see, imagine the contaminants in there you can’t.”

By adding a house filtration system, the technology can ensure clean waters removing chemicals and contaminants like chlorine, heavy metals, pesticides, herbicides, rust, dirt and sediment.

The videos posted showing the comparisons have racked up more than 150,000 views, with many reposting, commenting and liking the posts.

Mr McInnes urged Australians to “protect yourself, your family and all your appliances and plumbing”.
