Castran Alpine director Lachlan Castran said the car park was rare in that it was the only one available in the current market.
“It is a rarity because you might only get one a year that pops up and that exclusive nature of having a car park up at Mount Hotham is qualitative,” he said.
“To have a centrally located car park that is accessible in all weather is total luxury.”
Mr Castran said owning your own parking spot takes the hassle out of relying on bus schedules, with the added security of knowing your car is safe.

Buyer interest in the listing has been steady and has been from individuals and families who have significant holdings at Hotham, he said.
“There's two sections of Hotham - there's Hotham Central, and there's Davenport, where this car park sits and interest has been derived basically equally from each part of Hotham, and I think it will only be couple of weeks until we transact it.”
At almost $50,000, Mr Castran said the exclusive bay was a bargain.
“When you compare against other capital cities, car parking spots within the CBD, you could say that there's a real value proposition here,” he said.
In Sydney, the price of a single car space has eclipses the price of many apartments and luxury cars with slabs selling for over $600,000 a piece across inner suburbs, with individual spaces outside the CBD selling for over $200,000.
