The luxury Darwin home formerly owned by Outback Wrangler Matt Wright has hit the market again, just six months after it was last sold with its resident 4.5m saltwater crocodile ‘Spicy’ as an optional extra.
The stunning four-bedroom, three-bathroom home was sold for $1.3m in October via much fanfare.
At the time the home at 124 Virginia Rd, Virginia notched up 55.610 view online, making it the most popular Top End home of the year and the third most popular home across Australia for 2025.

Wright and his wife Kaia had opted to list the home in the midst of his high profile court case, while the possible addition of ‘Spicy’ also had potential buyers and curious onlookers madly clicking.
“If you really, really want the place, I’ll even leave ya with Spicy,” Wright said.
“If you really want the place, you get him with it.”
The Wrights bought the 3.15ha parcel 10 years ago, transforming the home into a minimalist masterpiece the owners described as like a modern treehouse with walls of glass and sleek open spaces.

The home sits on more than 3ha.
“You feel like you’re up in the mahogany trees,” Ms Wright said when the home was listed.
“It’s so light and uplifting.”
The mum-of-two said she was inspired by brutalist architecture and raw materials and wanted to turn her old Darwin elevated into a no-fuss home of concrete, timber, glass and natural textures.
It is now being brought to market via Ryan Rowsell and Rachel Barz from Ray White Palmerston and Rural.
“This one is going to turn heads in the rural market,” Rowsell wrote on social media.
Originally built in 1984, the house had four bedrooms, two bathrooms, open-plan living, banks of louvres and an upstairs deck.

The property changed hands for $1.3m in October, according to property records while Wright was found guilty of two counts of attempting to pervert the course of justice by a Supreme Court jury in Darwin.
Wright shot to fame on reality program Outback Wrangler, which showcased his work as a helicopter pilot and croc catcher in some of Australia’s remote regions.
