AFL boss Greg Swann and his wife Leonie are selling their Queensland property, following their move to Victoria.
The Brisbane home — aptly named Chateau Swann — is a stunning five-bedder in Balmoral that’s been a hotspot among AFL players.
Swann returned to Melbourne this month after 11 years in charge of the Brisbane Lions — he leaves a lasting legacy of two AFLW premierships, an AFL premiership and record as well as multimillion dollar facilities for the club.
The house has a commanding street presence.

He is now the AFL head of football performance, with his duties including taking charge of game analysis, match review, player movement and laws of the game.
The Swanns sold their dream home in Melbourne and moved into their Balmoral property 10 years ago when Mr Swann began rebuilding the Brisbane Lions.

The house flows from the indoors to the outdoors.
Swann said his favourite part of the house was the living room where he enjoyed watching sport on TV.
“I’m going to miss this location, this house is in a great suburb which is central to everything,” Mr Swann said.
He said there was a “fair bit” of sporting history in the memorabilia room which would be hard to downsize.

The couple has hosted several AFL players over the years with the separate living zones being a big hit.
“We’ve had players including Cam Rayner, Rhys Matheson, and Sam Skinner who came and stayed with us for about three to four months,” Mrs Swann said.
“Will Ashcroft had a short stay in his draft year, and we also had Toby Wooller, andTom Fullarton.
“Dan McStay was to move in for six weeks and he stayed for eight months.
“We also hosted Irish hopeful Deividas Uosis.”

Mrs Swann said during their first year at the house they kept a tally of how many people had stayed at their pad.
“By December I had 90 different people stay at least one night,” Mrs Swann said.
“I had a mattress in the garage that I would drag into the cinema room.”
“About 12 people can stay in the home at once, there’s plenty of space and it’s comfortable.
“The house is constantly in use by us or others – it was dubbed Chateau Swann by the constant flow of family and friends who enjoyed our hospitality over the past 10 years.”

Standout features include a 6m voided entry which, pivot door, alfresco area, cinema and pool.
“This house has an energy of its own – everything has been thoughtfully designed – and the people who come here can feel it,” Mrs Swann said.
The Swanns said it was time to downsize and start their next chapter, although they were sad to leave their friends and lifestyle behind.
The property is going to auction on August 23 through Ray White Collective principal Brandon Wortley.
