The River View has reached a significant sales and construction milestone, with 12 homes sold and project completion on track for May.

This boutique collection of 51 contemporary townhouses on the banks of the Derwent River at Old Beach, was developed by GIC Estates and marketed by Elders Projects.

The masterplanned community has resonated strongly with Tasmanian buyers across the full market spectrum — from first-home buyers to downsizers and investors, the agents say.

Rose Allie from Elders Projects said, with construction nearing completion, the development is now accepting conditional contracts, including purchases supported by the Tasmanian Government’s MyHome Shared Equity Scheme — opening a clear pathway to home ownership for eligible Tasmanians.

The River View’s position as a new, off-the-plan development makes it an eligible property for buyers accessing two of Tasmania’s most significant homeownership support mechanisms:

The $30,000 First Home Owner Grant: available to eligible first home buyers entering a qualifying transaction between July 1 2025 and June 30 2026 for a new home. Full eligibility criteria are available at sro.tas.gov.au.

The MyHome Shared Equity Scheme: the Tasmanian Government’s shared equity program, administered by Bank of us, which allows eligible Tasmanians to co-purchase a home with Homes Tasmania.
