A Kingswood home has been renovated – a few times over now – to offer a luxurious entertainer’s lifestyle bound to delight families for generations to come.

Vendors Silv and Annie bought the home at 30A Halsbury Ave, which has hit the market, in 2009.

They were attracted by its character offerings and family-friendly location.

“We loved the high ceilings and its beautiful stonework – it just caught our eye as soon as we saw it,” Silv says.

“It was in reasonable condition, but we’ve given it a couple of renovations and modernised it completely and brought our style into the home, and it’s just a beautiful place to be.

The Kingswood property at 30A Halsbury Ave has hit the market.

The owners have renovated it a few times since purchasing it in 2009.

A pool and spa are highlights in the backyard.

There are five bedrooms and three bathrooms inside.

“Kingswood has some stunning older homes on larger blocks and there are some great parks down the road.

“Plus we have public transport virtually outside the front door to take you to the city, and there are schools and tennis courts nearby, so it’s amazing for families.

“Our kids were two and four back when we moved in and it’s been a fantastic place to raise them, with plenty of other young families on the street.”

The home has up to six bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen living and dining space, a separate formal lounge with bay window; a cellar, a workshop, an outdoor kitchen, a pool and separate spa; and a pizza oven.

“It’s ideal for families,” Silv says.

“Because there are four bedrooms downstairs our kids were all able to have their own room downstairs and share a bathroom, and as they grew up one of them moved upstairs and pretty much had her own apartment with two bedrooms, a living room and a bathroom, so they all had their own living spaces.

“There are three indoor living spaces and then two outdoors and a pool, so we could have our friends over on one side of the house and they could have their friends over on the other side and we didn’t even know.

The vendors say it would be perfect for a family.

There are bedrooms upstairs and downstairs.

It also has multiple living spaces.

It’s on a 975sqm block.

“We’ve celebrated all of our kids’ birthdays here up to 21sts, and for my daughters 18th we had 90 teenagers bouncing around.

“Plus we’ve had up to 120 people here for stand-up cocktail parties, so it certainly caters for a huge number of people.

“Our kids always had their friends over and we had always wanted to create a space where they could do that.”

With the family having bought another character home to renovate, the time has come to say goodbye to Kingswood.

“We’re very proud of it and will miss it – it’s been a fantastic family home,” Silv says. “We’re sure whoever buys it is going to love it just like we have, and I’m sure they’ll be very happy here.”
