Up-and-coming social media star Georgie Lewis has listed her inner-city bluestone cottage for sale and is relocating to the Adelaide Hills.

The charming two-bedroom home at 3 Flora St, Stepney, is likely familiar to almost 50,000 people who follow Georgie on TikTok, where her interior styling posts have garnered 1.6m views.

The home is also featured on Instagram, where Georgie has more than 10,000 followers.

The popular influencer, who posts in-between her full-time job as an intensive care doctor, bought the 1890s cottage in 2020.

Having been renovated by its previous owners, who were also doctors, Georgie said she had done little to the home, other than update the laundry last year and landscaping.

“It was my first home and …. I have just done minor things (changes) like build a bench in the courtyard and renovate the laundry to make it a lot more functional and pretty,’’ she said.

“It’s come up quite nice. I have decorated in my style and it’s quite modern.

“It’s not open plan but I like how the living area flows to the dining area and then it all flows out to the courtyard, where I do a lot of entertaining.

“It’s a very distinctive home. I’ve done a lot of videos (from home that have been posted) on TikTok and Instagram so it’s very recognisable.’’

Picture perfect, the home is tucked behind a white picket fence.

Inside, polished timber floors, soaring ceilings and decorative fireplaces point to its century-long history.

A designer kitchen, which includes a sleek breakfast bar and abundant storage, overlooks the rear garden and a relaxing alfresco area.

Georgie said she had planned to add a rear extension to the home, with two more bedrooms and another bathroom, but had since purchased a larger property in the Adelaide Hills with her partner, Phil.

“The home does look small from the outside but the bedrooms are a really good size and it’s quite spacious,’’ she said.

“It’s also a wide block and … has room to extend at the back, which is quite rare for two- bedroom, one-bathroom cottages.’’

Georgie said she would continue to post home styling content from her new address, which would have a slightly different aesthetic to the Stepney property.

“It (the Adelaide Hills home) is a character home. It’s a sandstone villa that was built in 1890, around the same time as the Stepney house, and the gardens are quite beautiful,’’ she said.

“I’m going to keep my artwork (from Stepney) which I think can be transferred to any property but the decorations (at Stepney) are quite modern and I think I’m going to go more traditional (at the Adelaide Hills home).

“It’s been five years (since purchasing the Stepney property) and I feel like my style has progressed a little since then.

“This time, I would like to stay true to the traditional elements of the Adelaide Hills.’’

The Stepney home, which is listed with Williams Real Estate without a price guide, will be auctioned on July 5, unless sold prior.
