Relax in style at 1 Frome Court, Taylors Hill, which has set a new suburb price record.
A Hamptons-inspired pad with beer on tap has set a new $2.1m record in Melbourne’s north west.
The home at 1 Frome Court, Taylors Hill, has trumped the suburb’s previous $2.005m house price benchmark set by 5 Alvis Close, in 2024.
Boasting oak timber flooring, 2.7m-high ceilings, stone-topped cabinetry and double-glazed timber windows, the Frome Court residence’s entertaining credentials are top-notch.

Next to the outdoor heated saltwater pool, there’s an undercover space equipped with built-in surround sound, a television and a kitchen with a sink, barbecue and bar fridge.
On top of all this, there’s three different beers on tap.
Inside, the main bedroom has a double-sided walk-in wardrobe, an ensuite with a spa and even a sauna on the balcony.
The kitchen is fitted with Smeg appliances, a built-in coffee machine, dishwasher and freestanding oven, plus an oven tower – a cabinetry unit that combines an oven, microwave, and storage drawer.
Travertine-paved footpaths feature in the landscaped garden.
Custom cabinetry and stone benchtops are among the kitchen’s highlights.
Barry Plant Taylors Lakes director Andrew Koulaouzos described the impressive home as similar to a seven-star resort.
Mr Koulaouzos said the five-bedroom abode was listed with a $1.75m-$1.85m range but smashed expectations at an auction last week.
A couple hoping to scare off their competition opened the bidding with a $2m offer.
“So everyone was stunned, including the neighbours,” Mr Koulaouzos said.
“They said it and tried to scare off the competition, which, to be honest, I even got scared myself.”
The alfresco area is an entertainer’s dream complete with an outdoor television and kitchen.
The main bedroom’s balcony has a swing chair, sauna and fan.
However, a local family put forward a $2.1m bid to secure the keys to the 674sq m address.
One of the house’s owners, a plumber by trade, built the home with the assistance of friends in the construction industry.
“They have lived there for about four-and-a-half-years and now they just want a bit of a lifestyle change,” Mr Koulaouzos said.

There’s also double-glazed windows, full insulation and a six-star energy rating.
More than 70 groups looked through the house during the marketing campaign with some buyers coming from as far away as Sunbury, Gisborne, Essendon and Niddrie.
A social media campaign for the listing drew 220,000 engagements online.
Mr Koulaouzos said the house’s sale demonstrated that buyers were willing to go the extra mile for homes that stood out on the market, much like this residence had with its Hamptons style and entertainers’ set-up.
“I think that just goes to show the strength of the market at the moment with those kinds of unique and special homes,” he said.
“You really don’t see buyers bidding that strongly for typical homes, but for those homes they do.”
