Pop crooner Lewis Capaldi is facing a full-blown backyard brawl after a neighbour accused him of building a fortress around his £1.6 million Scottish mansion.

The “Someone You Loved” singer’s plan to erect a towering six-foot fence has sparked fury, with one local claiming it’s ruining their view and their life.

Capaldi, 28, wants to beef-up security at his farmhouse near Glasgow, but neighbour Adam Dunwoodie is having none of it.

He’s lodged a formal complaint, branding the proposed fence “oppressive” and a major disruption to his daily existence, according to The Sun.

“It’s like living next to a prison wall!” Dunwoodie reportedly told the East Renfrewshire Council in a fiery letter.

“This fence is already having a significant adverse impact on my home life, and Capaldi wants to make it even worse!”

Dunwoodie claims the existing fence is already too tall and too close to his property, and he’s demanding it be lowered “without delay.”

Lewis Capaldi wants to beef-up security with a massive fence.

He added that visitors to his home have also been shocked by the imposing structure.

“Our concerns have been mirrored by every visitor to our property,” Dunwoodie fumed.

“The oppressive height of the fence, the proximity of the fence, the standard of finish and appearance, and the lack of maintenance access to ground between the properties are all major issues.”

Capaldi, who bought the pad in 2020 with a little help from his mate Ed Sheeran, has been busy turning the place into a celebrity playground.

He’s already added a recording studio, a triple garage for his fancy cars, a swimming pool, spa, sauna, and changing rooms.

A sunroom is also in the works.

But while Dunwoodie says he’s fine with the other renovations, the fence is the final straw. “We do not object to any other construction work,” he insisted.

“But this fence is a step too far!”

The council is now set to decide on Capaldi’s fence application, meaning this neighbourhood drama could be heading for a showdown.

The timing couldn’t be worse for Capaldi, who recently made a triumphant return to Glastonbury after a tough performance last year.

He’s back in the charts with his new single “Survive” and is preparing for a UK arena tour.
