The Californian home that Kanye West trashed has found a buyer, after 205 days on the market and a jaw-dropping multimillion-dollar price cut.
People magazine reported that the stripped-down structure was last listed in April for $39m (A$60m).
The property is sitting in a “contingent” sale status on Realtor.com, with the final price is not yet known.

The Tadao Ando–designed concrete residence was gutted and left open to the elements by the rapper.
West, who goes by Ye, purchased the beachfront property in 2021 for $57.25m (A$88.2m).
He then proceeded to take the architectural masterpiece apart, according to reports.
A demolition project reportedly involved the removal of bathrooms, kitchen cabinets, plumbing, electricity, and windows.

Ye walked away from the unfinished project, opting to put the residence back on the market.
In January, the home was listed with The Oppenheim Group’s Jason Oppenheim — who is best known for starring in Netflix TV show with “Selling Sunset” — for $53m (A$81.7m).
“All interior finishes have been removed from the property, and work is needed to either restore or re-imagine the interiors,” the listing noted.

Oppenheim did not respond to a Realtor.com request for comment, however in December, the agent told the Wall Street Journal that “it will take several million dollars for the house to be finished.”

In April, the price was reduced to $39m (A$60.1m).
Even in a sorry state, the structure was appealing to buyers for the highly respected works of the award-winning architect.
When Ye bought it, the beachfront abode was sleek and masterfully designed, with the listing photos only showing the home before Ye’s demolition project.

Built in 2013, the minimalist structure is one of a handful of private homes in the United States designed by the Pritzker Prize–winning Japanese architect.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z own an Ando-designed home, also in Malibu, for which they paid a reported $200m (A$300m) in 2023.)
Just steps from the Pacific Ocean, the 370 sqm home sits on a nearly 530 sqm lot that mbacks onto the beach.
According to the listing, the structure is made of approximately 1,200 tonnes of concrete, 200 tonnes of steel reinforcement, and 12 massive supporting pylons driven nearly 20m deep into the sand.
