Mikael Testa and Atis Paul rented a mansion on the Gold Coast with Anna Paul and her then-partner

A rift between two of Australia’s biggest content creators has raised questions over what took place behind the doors of an opulent mansion they shared.

Mikaela Testa has aired a series of claims against former partner, Atis Paul, the younger brother of popular influencer and Testa’s one-time best friend, Anna Paul.

Testa and Atis dated for several years from 2020, sharing the three-storey waterfront luxury home with Anna and her then-partner, Glen Thomson.

Property records show the house was rented at $3,500 a week in 2020 after being purchased for $4.3m several months earlier by a Sydney-based investor.

The lavish master bedroom

Testa posted a house tour of the mansion when she moved out in 2023, and described her break-up as “hell” in another public video.

The sprawling five-bedroom, six-bathroom house occupied a 1,000 sqm canal-front parcel in an exclusive gated community on the northern Gold Coast.

Described as a “masterpiece” when it last sold, features of the property included a lift, home cinema with tiered seating, and a glamorous master bedroom suite once shared by Testa and Atis Paul, which had a marble-clad ensuite with sunken spa, his and her vanities, twin showers and a bidet as well as a boutique-style dressing room with a makeup station.

Open-plan living areas flowed to alfresco entertaining terraces, one with a built-in barbecue kitchen, overlooking a pool and six-person spa at the water’s edge, while there was also a 10-car basement garage with a wine cellar and gym.

Testa moved on to another luxury property, in 2024 sharing photos inside the home she rented with boyfriend Maxwell Krause.

The beachside home was rented at more than $2,000 a week $104,000 annually.

Known as Ruin X, the fully rendered statement home became an internet sensation for its opulent finish when it was put up for auction in March 2022.

The avant-garde property was a renovation project by former owner and residential and commercial renderer, Matt Jamieson, of Render X, who crafted custom furnishings to match floor-to-ceiling smooth surfaces of micro cement resembling marble.

Designer Jayson Pate was enlisted for the transformation of the 1990-built four-bedroom, two-bathroom home, with features including quirky backlit wall niches, a formal lounge with open fireplace and Timothy Ousten chandelier, and a marble island bench in the kitchen.
