Intercontinental Exchange Inc. (ICE) said on Tuesday that it has completed the first phase of a broader modernization of its MSP mortgage servicing platform with the launch of an enhanced user experience.

The company said the updated user interface is designed to improve navigation and lay the foundation for additional workflow automation and productivity tools that are now being rolled out. MSP is widely used by mortgage servicers to manage loan servicing operations.

“This new UX is a foundational step in modernizing MSP,” said Bob Hart, president of ICE Mortgage Technology. “Phase one is not just about improving platform navigability; it is already allowing us to roll out second-phase enhanced automation and AI-driven productivity agents that reduce manual effort and help servicers scale more efficiently.”

ICE said the enhancements allow servicers to consolidate exception reviews into single-screen workflows, reducing the volume and need for human review. The company has focused its initial automation efforts on servicing processes that typically require the most manual intervention, with some capabilities already available.

As part of Tuesday’s announcement, ICE is introducing enhanced escrow and investor reporting automations enabled by the updated interface. The escrow automation can reduce manual touchpoints by up to 87% and shorten processing times from about 10 days to as few as two.

Automation for Freddie Mac loan-level investor reporting is expected to reduce manual steps by up to 68%, ICE said.

ICE said the new user experience can be adopted without reimplementation or disruption to existing integrations. The update follows other recent servicing enhancements, including AI-based call prediction and account summarization tools, as well as tighter integration between ICE’s servicing and origination platforms that allows borrowers to apply for home equity or refinance loans through servicing portals.

“We are deeply focused on delivering tangible ROI for our customers through continuous innovation,” Hart added. “MSP is already the most comprehensive mortgage servicing system on the market, and these enhancements not only support our customers today, but lay the groundwork for greater interoperability and faster feature development in the future.”
