Australian actor Hugh Jackman is making a second attempt to sell his $57.7m (US$38.9m) New York City apartment, two years after his first attempt to offload the triplex property failed.
The Wolverine star bought the “masterpiece” property for US$21m in 2008, living there with his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, according to Realtor.

But one year before he and Furness stunned the world by announcing they were divorcing after 27 years of marriage, Jackman made the decision to part ways with the home in June 2022. The reason for selling was because they had bought a new apartment in the nearby Manhattan district of Chelsea.
Jackman is hoping for better luck this time around though, listing the property for exactly the same asking price now as he did in 2022.
Last time the home dwindled on the market for two months before the listing was removed.
Then, one day after he revealed that he and Furness had split in September 2023, Jackman tried putting the three-storey, five-bedroom condo for rent — with an astonishing asking price of A$185,480 (US$125,000) per month.
Jackman appeared to again have no luck on the property front, with the rental listing being later removed in November 2023.
But now the 55-year old is making another attempt to offload the home, located in a building designed by the Pritzker Prize-winning architect Richard Meier.
Meier also helped design the interior of Jackman’s apartment, which occupies the entirety of the eighth, ninth, and tenth floors of the building, and has views of the Hudson River and the Statue of Liberty.
Every bedroom in the apartment features an ensuite bathroom, with the primary bedroom having a spa bath and sauna, an exercise area, and a dressing area.
Every floor also has a terrace, which are all connected by a giant spiral staircase.
The living area on the ninth floor features a great room that is double-height and has a wall of windows with a view. There is also a fireplace, professional gourmet kitchen, and dining room.
The building itself is a full-service condominium with a state-of-the-art fitness centre, full-time doorman, and concierge.
Jean-Georges Vongerichten‘s Perry Street Restaurant is located inside the building and has dining options for residents.
When he’s not in the US, Jackman is also known to still own a $12m penthouse on North Bondi, which he bought in 2015 for nearly $6m.
