Hugh Jackman’s multi-million dollar divorce digs

As Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness go their separate ways after their marriage separation, the couple’s recent property decisions may provide some clues on their future plans.

In 2022, the power couple got people talking when they listed their A$56.1 million West Village triplex after calling the property home for more than ten years.

Jackman and Furness purchased the lavish seven-bathroom New York City property in 2008, when he paid $A32,638,200.

Just two months after listing their NYC estate, Jackman and Furness paid $A34,347,820 million for a three-bedroom penthouse in Chelsea. The move came less than a year before their shock separation announcement.

The last time the penthouse – which has 3.5 bathrooms and stunning views taking in the Hudson River through to Downtown and Midtown Manhattan – was on the market was in 2012.

At that time, the property sold for $A30,151,480 million. Since the couple’s separation announcement, it’s expected the penthouse may return to the market, or remain home to just one member of the former couple.

The remaining resident will enjoy incredible 4.3m-high floor-to-ceiling windows and about 343 sqm of outdoor space, plus a roof terrace that’s been divided into separate dining and lounging areas.

Earlier last yeaer, Jackman and Furness put their East Hamptons property up for rent, with a listed price of $500k per month. They purchased the estate in 2015 for $A5,439,700 million, before proceeding with a six year transformation, according to The New York Post.

In 2016, Jackman reportedly spent around $A6 million on a Bondi Beach home, where the couple spent time when they weren’t based in America.

The year prior, they sold their two-bedroom apartment in Melbourne’s CBD, which they had owned for almost two decades, after buying it in 1997.

They made the purchase when Jackman was headlining Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard musical in Melbourne.
