The colourful house at 1 Anderson St, Frankston, has plenty of personality.

A Frankston house featuring a plethora of rainbow-coloured, mythology-inspired murals behind its unassuming facade is for sale with a $750,000-$825,000 range.

The five-bedroom pad at 1 Anderson St is being marketed as a prime development opportunity thanks to its 937sq m block and proximity to the beach.

However, OBrien’s Tia Milne said she expected the home’s individuality and striking visuals would attract attention from a wide range of buyers.

Ms Milne said the home’s rental tenant had painted the murals, covering the home’s exterior rear wall, backyard decking, an interior wall and even the garden shed.

“She explained that she used references from the house and local environment so the mural would integrate visually while also feeling playful and engaging for viewers,” Ms Milne said.

“The tenant said the mural was inspired by a mix of the home’s surroundings and mythic elements, which were added to create a sense of intrigue and imagination.”

Mythology, the local environment and the house itself inspired the artworks.

Vibrant doesn’t begin to cover it.

The house has even become a community hub and music space with regular jamming sessions held there.

“In a market where many homes can feel quite conventional, this one has genuine personality and tells a story the moment you see it,” Ms Milne added.

“Properties like this remind people that real estate can still be fun and full of personality.”

She noted that the house was one of the most unique and visually memorable homes she’s seen in Frankston’s local market.

“The property has an incredible personality and energy to it — it’s the kind of home that instantly makes people smile and sparks conversation,” the agent said.

“You can feel the life in the home the moment you walk through the front door.”

The facade doesn’t give much of an indication as to the world of colour awaiting in the backyard.

The creative residence, which has two bathrooms, is close to the Frankston waterfront, the suburb’s CBD, parks, schools and public transport.

“The location and land component will appeal to developers and investors, while the home itself has enough personality and charm to attract owner-occupiers looking for something truly unique,” Ms Milne said.

“It’s rare to find a property that appeals both as a land opportunity and as a memorable lifestyle home.”

The house will be auctioned at 9.30am on June 13.
