Former NSW premier Nick Greiner has a new luxury home with claims on ‘Sydney’s best pool’.

Former NSW premier Nick Greiner has bought property in the new up-market over-55s development Greenwich apartment project, Akoya.

His $6.25m off-the-plan strata purchase was in the near-sold-out eight-storey Greenwich Rd project, developed by Alceon Group in partnership with NGS Super. It was built by Stevens Constructions.

The development offers an on-site concierge plus a communal infinity pool, an in-house bar, a library with fireplace, a golf simulator room, a 10-seat cinema and a wellness consulting centre.

It ranks as the priciest of the 39 residences designed by architects Marchese Partners.

Prices for the one-bedroom apartments started at $1.35m on its 2021 launch.

The pool and views at the Akoya are reminiscent of some of the best and most incredible pools in the world, such as that at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

When plans for the development were launched, it had claims on being ‘Sydney’s best pool’.

All its one, two and three-bedroom apartments have studies, and buyers also had the option of purchasing a small number of private office spaces on a separate title, with the 40sq m suites starting at $450,000.

Alceon Group’s Louise Campling said 80 per cent of the apartment buyers had been living within 5km.

Greiner owned two-thirds and Fletcher the remaining third of the Wolseley Rd apartment.

Fletcher has since spent $4.525m on a Woollahra townhouse.
