The Brighton home of Eugene Arocca, a former AFL corporate leader and the current chair of the Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation, is for sale.

The former chief executive of the North Melbourne Football Club boss is selling his Brighton home with $2.65m-$2.86m price hopes.

Eugene Arocca was chief executive of the AFL club in 2008-2012 and had a five-year stint as chief operating officer and director for Collingwood prior to that.

He was also the head honcho at Motorsport Australia for more than 10 years and is currently the chair of the Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation.

The business bigwig is selling his Edgar St abode now that his kids have flown the coop.

Mr Arocca said he was ready to downsize and didn’t need the space anymore, so was looking to move to Melbourne’s inner north.

“We’ve been here (Brighton) for just on 10 years and it’s been a great experience; but I’m a northern suburbs boy,” he said.

“My boys went from teenagers to young adults, so there’s great memories here.

“We enjoyed our time here but we are looking into the next chapter.”

The spacious home has a small profile at the front.

CoreLogic records reveal he purchased the residence for $2.15m in October 2015.

He added that the home’s four-car garage had come in handy as everyone including his two sons were able to park securely at the same time.

“We rode through Covid by staying in this magnificently large house; we had office desks set up in every room, so we were all able to work from home or study at home,” he said.

“Hopefully this will be a great home for the next occupant to enjoy the large rooms and the space and the location.”

As the residence was central to Brighton’s thoroughfare, Mr Arocca said his morning exercise involved walking a lap around his home, down by the beach and then back up to Church St.

But there is plenty of space inside, including in the kitchen that is fitted with Miele appliances.

Nick Johnstone Real Estate Brighton property adviser Kate Mactier said the Brighton address was just a stones throw away from shops and eateries along Bay St and Church St as well as the beach.

“This is an incredible opportunity for all sorts of demographics to live in the Brighton location,” Ms Mactier said.

“Every window opens up to these really beautiful, green, lush surrounds and (it’s) a very contemporary, turnkey property.”

For its price point, the agent said it provided an enormous amount of accommodation while also being really secure with electric gates.

The home’s wraparound deck provides a verdant backdrop for outdoor entertaining.

Spanning across two levels, the home features an open plan living and dining area and two sets of stacking sliding doors that open out to a wraparound deck.

The kitchen is fitted with stone benchtops, Miele appliances, an integrated microwave and a walk-in pantry.

The main bedrooms offers built-in wardrobes and a marble ensuite, while the three other bedrooms share two bathrooms.

The Edgar St property is set to go under the hammer on Saturday, March 29 at 11am.
