14 Abbey Ridge Road, Reedy Creek, has sold

An iconic Gold Coast home that featured on Aussie reality TV series Wife Swap has sold less than 24 hours after its first inspection.

Located at 14 Abbey Ridge Road, Reedy Creek, the Hollywood Hills-inspired residence was sold by Khane and Tenille Duncan.

Tenille is a local producer, actor, influencer and writer.

The property was sold by Coastal agent Katrina Walsh.

The couple were at the R&B Fridayz music festival when they received the call saying there was a contract on the property.

Set on a fully usable acre in Reedy Creek, the six-bedroom, three-bathroom home combines Hamptons-inspired elegance, and is positioned in one of the suburb’s most sought-after pockets.

It also boasts sweeping Gold Coast views reminiscent of LA skylines.

Features include multiple living areas, a 15m entertaining deck, fire pit and a shed incorporating a bedroom or office with an ensuite.

Tenille said the home had been both a family sanctuary and a creative backdrop as she prepares to launch her next TV project.

“Filming here was unforgettable, and this home has inspired so much of my work,” Tenille said.

“We’ve loved raising our family here, from big gatherings to quiet evenings on the deck overlooking the pool and views.

“Selling is bittersweet, but it’s time for our next chapter, downsizing closer to the beach.”

Her husband Khane said the property’s versatility is what sets it apart.

“Every part of this home has been designed with family in mind - spacious living zones, multiple lounges, a cinema room and a gym. But the real hero is the view; it stops you every time you walk through the door,” he said.

As a family with six children, the Duncans say the home has been a true haven.

With so many different living and recreation spaces, each child could enjoy their own zone - whether it was the cinema, the rumpus or play areas, or the outdoor pool and playground.

The master suite boasts his-and-hers walk-in robes, an ensuite and a secluded deck.

The kitchen, centred around a four-metre island, flows seamlessly into the dining and lounge areas, framed by a stone fireplace and floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

Outdoor living is just as compelling, with a built-in BBQ and fridge, a poolside gazebo, kids’ playground and a fire pit that has become a favourite with the teenagers.

Adding to its family appeal, the property includes a large garage plus additional carport, providing ample parking for multiple vehicles, with the boats or caravans able to be safely housed in the shed.

Ms Walsh said properties of this calibre are rarely offered in the area.

“From the panoramic views and resort-style amenities to the multiple zones that give every family member their own space, it delivers lifestyle on a grand scale,” she said.

“Homes like this, on usable acreage yet so close to private schools, are tightly held and highly sought after.”

Wife Swap Australia ran for a single season in 2012 and was based on the British version.
