Australia’s swimming star couple Emma McKeon and Cody Simpson struck a $2.1 million deal for their forever home in the weeks before their separation.

The jointly purchased home in Labrador on the Gold Coast was a new-built for the couple, with five bedrooms, three bathrooms and two car spaces.

The couple had put the Queensland property they jointly owned up for sale in October last year, with it selling within 45 days for $2.1 million.

It was built on a 505 sqm block in 2022, with their purchase completed in January 2023.

The major purchase saw the couple achieve a gain of $274,000 for the home, having paid $1.826m for it to be completed.

The $2.1m sale price late last year did come in more than valuations at the time which went as high as $2.01m.

With the Gold Coast market continuing to see record demand and tight supply, RPData estimates put the value to now be as much as $2.15m.

Ms McKeon still has a Queensland footprint, owning another Gold Coast property – a three bed, two bath, two car home on a 218 sqm block.

It was bought in September 2018 for $625,000, long before she and Mr Simpson got together.

Valuation estimates now put her second property as high as $1.31 million, with rental potential in the tight Gold Coast market as high as $1,100 a week.

Mr Simpson, whose exes include US entertainment star Miley Cyrus, was a pillar of support to Ms McKeon through her last Olympic campaign. The pair had been a couple for around four years.
